Children's Home Manager

REED are seeking a dedicated Children's Home Manager to lead and manage a Children's Home, ensuring the delivery of excellent outcomes for children and young people with complex emotional, behavioural, and social needs. The ideal candidate will be committed to making a significant impact, striving for excellence, and maintaining statutory compliance to achieve outstanding service provision.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Lead the management of the Children's Home in accordance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, the nine quality standards, Ofsted, and other relevant statutory frameworks.
* Ensure the home adheres to its Statement of Purpose and the vision and principles of the organisation.
* Maintain high standards in all areas of service delivery and continuously improve to achieve the best outcomes for service users.
* Act as the designated Safeguarding officer, ensuring effective safeguarding and protection of all children and young people in the home.
* Develop and maintain systems for the efficient administration of the home, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
* Lead, manage, and support a competent and motivated staff team, providing leadership and managerial direction.
* Oversee the recruitment of staff, ensuring adherence to 'Safer Recruitment' procedures and effective induction.
* Manage the performance of staff, ensuring engagement in high-quality training, supervision, and professional development.
* Ensure all staff operate in accordance with statutory guidance, regulations, and anti-discriminatory practices.
* Engage in multi-agency working to ensure child-centred care plans are in place and effectively monitored.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in managing a children's home and leading a team.
* Strong knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations, Ofsted standards, and safeguarding procedures.
* Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills.
* Ability to work flexibly and participate in on-call arrangements as required.
