Mechanical Fitter required for work on various sites around the Northwest.
You will service various Environment Agency sites across the region, providing upgrades for MEICA systems.
The main depot is located in Warrington, so being based locally is preferred.
This role covers the entire Northwest region, involving travel to multiple sites. A vehicle with a fuel card will be provided.
Required Skills include:
* Process control 4-20mA 0-10V
* Control panel fault finding, pump starters, thermistors, magnetic, earth leakage, relays, safety relays, Pilz relays, contactor ratings (AC/DC)
* Level sensors calibration
* Knowledge of electric actuators (settings, torque, overload)
* Weir tilt gates
* Pumps types: vertical drive, submersible, etc.
* Pump components: impeller, bearings, trust bearings, seals, dry and wet types
* VSDs: starting currents, torque settings, ramps
* Cable testing (IR, R1+R, Zs)
* Making off and glanding, SWA's, PWA
* Cable types: SWA, LSF, PVC, XLPE, H07RNF and their applications
* Earthing, functional earth
* Gland ratings: CW, EW, etc.
Desirable skills:
* Hydraulic circuits and systems: pumps, cylinders, valves (solenoids)
* Signal isolators, ICA interface
* Experience with Rotork actuators
* PLC programming
* VSD drive settings
* Generators G59, DEAPSE, etc.
* Pump and impeller material selection
This is an ongoing freelance/temporary role, considered inside IR35, with weekly wages paid via PAYE Umbrella.
