MAIN PURPOSE:
The post holder will be a highly specialist and experienced MH practitioner with a substantial knowledge in the field of child and adolescent mental health, especially in the area of adolescent and young adult mental health. The role will involve working collaboratively with young people’s advisors in the Leaving Care team, CLA health and adults services and to support young people’s physical, emotional and mental health needs in preparation for transition into adulthood and independence. These might be from statutory, voluntary or school based sectors such as NHS trust, local authority, school or charitable organisation
Experience
Essential
Experience of working in a Multi-disciplinary team.
Experience of working specifically with adolescent or adult mental health.
Experience of working in a culturally diverse Inner city area.
Experience in crisis work and supporting hard to reach young people
Desirable
Evidence of further training (in house or external) in a psychological therapy (for e.g, CBT (including trauma-specific) / Systemic/Family Therapy/Psychotherapy)
Experience of working with care experienced young people
Skills and Abilities

Evidence of well- developed individual clinical skills and knowledge of children and adult safeguarding procedures
Able to manage own time and caseload.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
