People advisor

I am partnering with a manufacturing client based in Weston-Super-Mare, to help them recruit a People Advisor. This is a site-based role and an excellent opportunity for a driven HR professional to take on a varied, hands-on position within a fast paced and growing environment. As the People Advisor, you will deliver a comprehensive, operational HR service across the business, supporting managers with all aspects of the employee lifecycle. This is a busy, hands-on role with a strong focus on employee relations and day-to-day HR activity, ensuring policies and processes are applied consistently and in line with best practice. Key responsibilities include: Supporting all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and induction through to leavers Providing practical, day-to-day advice on employee relations matters including grievance, disciplinary, performance, and capability cases Managing and advising on absence, attendance, and wellbeing issues Supporting managers with investigations, hearings, and HR processes, ensuring compliance and best practice Managing end-to-end recruitment activity across the business Driving employee engagement, retention, and recognition initiatives Implementing and maintaining HR policies and procedures to support a positive and inclusive working environment Producing and analysing HR metrics and reports to support operational decision-making What you will need: CIPD Level 3 (minimum) or Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) Proven experience in a hands-on, operational HR role. Strong employee relations experience, with confidence managing cases end-to-end Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload High attention to detail, with experience in HR data and reporting A flexible approach and willingness to travel across multiple sites If you're a hands-on HR professional who enjoys being at the heart of the business and thrives in a fast-paced environment, this is an ideal opportunity to make a real impact.
