SEN Tutor – Faringdon | £20–£30 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutor to work with students in the Faringdon area. This is a flexible, rewarding role for someone who thrives on making a real difference in the lives of children and young people.
Location: Faringdon and surrounding areas
Pay Rate: £20 – £30 per hour (dependent on experience)
Hours: Part-time/flexible
About the Role:
You will be working on a 1:1 basis (or small groups where appropriate), delivering bespoke tuition to students with a range of SEN, including but not limited to:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)
Speech, language, and communication needs
Social, emotional, and mental health challenges
Your Responsibilities:
Assess individual learning needs and adapt teaching accordingly
Plan and deliver tailored sessions based on EHCPs, academic targets, or personal development goals
Create engaging, supportive, and safe learning environments
Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to families and professionals
Requirements:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) OR minimum 3 years’ tutoring experience
Proven experience working with children and young people with a range of SEN
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
