We are looking for a confident and compassionate Clinical Deputy Manager to support the Service Manager in leading and developing our high-quality nursing service at a Nursing Home in Formby. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Nurse or Clinical Lead looking to progress into a Deputy Manager position within a well-established and values-driven organisation. About The Nursing Home Set in beautiful gardens near Formby town centre and close to the coast and nature reserve, this Nursing Home provides expert care for individuals with complex physical and neurological conditions. Our 31-bedroom, ground-floor home (20 with en-suite facilities) is surrounded by extensive gardens. Every bedroom enjoys a garden aspect, with most offering direct access outdoors — enabling residents to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and remain connected to nature. We support individuals living with a wide range of complex conditions, including: * Physical and neurological conditions * Muscular Dystrophy * Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus * Huntington’s Disease * Stroke * Spinal Cord Injuries * Cerebral Palsy Our approach is fully person-centred, ensuring each individual can live a fulfilling life while receiving specialist clinical support. The Role As Clinical Deputy Manager, you will support the Service Manager in the day-to-day operational and clinical leadership of the service, deputising in their absence and ensuring the highest standards of nursing and personal care are consistently delivered. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and line-manage Nurses and Support Staff through daily supervision and formal performance management * Ensure person-centred plans are assessed, implemented, evaluated and regularly reviewed * Oversee the safe delivery of high-quality, evidence-based nursing care * Monitor clinical practices to ensure compliance with NMC guidelines, safeguarding, MCA and all regulatory standards * Oversee medication ordering, storage, administration and auditing * Ensure accurate, professional clinical documentation * Manage shifts effectively, responding to changes in residents’ health and making appropriate referrals * Support recruitment, induction, training and staff development * Contribute to service budget management You will lead by example, promoting dignity, independence, privacy and empowerment in everything we do. About You To be successful in this role, you must: * Be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with a valid NMC PIN * Have experience managing or supervising nursing and support staff * Have strong knowledge of the NMC Code and relevant practice standards * Demonstrate experience in assessing complex clinical needs and developing comprehensive support plans * Have experience working alongside external professionals and agencies You will also demonstrate: * A compassionate, empathetic and respectful approach * Strong leadership and motivational skills * Excellent written and verbal communication * Sound clinical judgement and observational skills Most importantly, you will share our ethos and commitment to delivering exceptional, person-centred care.
