Main purpose of the job:
Accountable for the daily operation of The Boar's Head, ensuring the delivery of consistent excellent customer service through your team, whilst delivering on the budgeted turnover and profit margins.
Reporting to: General Manager
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
· Support and manage strategies for The Boar's Head to deliver budgeted revenue.
· Ensure the delivery of excellent and consistent customer service to all our guests at The Boar's Head – both in Food and Beverage and Accommodation.
· Work with the General Manager to ensure costs are managed and revenue is translated into profit, highlighting in good time, issues that will adversely impact the bottom line and devising strategies to mitigate the effects.
· Manage and engage all employees to deliver high standards of service to customers, acting as a role model and ensuring the provision of appropriate staff direction, communication and training.
· Support the timely management and relevant administration of people processes including recruitment, performance and absence management and conduct where required.
· Support with the effective implementation of any changes that are made, procedures and employees are engaged and communicated to effectively.
· Supervision of all processes and procedures of all areas to ensure consistent high standards are met and maintained.
· Ensure that high standards of housekeeping and maintenance are maintained throughout The Boar's Head raising any areas of concern to the appropriate department.
· Support the Reservations/Reception team with bookings on both Reslynx system and Open table and deal with any issues which may arise. Assist in the management of large table / group bookings.
· Work closely with all departments within The Boars head to ensure effective communication and standards are maintained.
· Have a consistent and through approach to completion of any required documentation.
. Oversee Cellar / bar management areas
· Ensure The Boar's Head provides a safe environment for our guests and employees.
· Maintain positive working relationships with other departments to assist the overall development and performance of the business.
· Effective personal and team time management to achieve daily tasks and ensure high standards of service.
· Work closely with the General Manager and Head Chef to aid in the development of menus, special offers, events and costings.
Work schedule: 3 days on, 3 days off
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
