Academic Appointments are supporting three primary schools in the Pontefract area to recruit for support staff in the new academic year, focusing on SEND and 1:1 support within Early Years. All based within the same popular and highly-regarded MAT, the roles are for long term staff covering full-time in the schools Reception and Nursery classes. The school have a wonderfully inclusive and supportive Early Years team and are proud of their reputation for pupil engagement, creative learning and inclusive approach to pupil progress. Experience working in an Early Years setting and having working knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and expectations is essential. This role would suite an EYTS ECT, Graduate in Early Years or an Early Years teacher looking to move into a support role or to build their early career with more experience before taking on a teacher role. The ability and desire to support young learners with additional needs is very important in these settings, as much of the time would be working in small groups or 1:1 to support pupils with an EHCP. If you are a patient, nurturing, creative and dedicated Early Years practitioner looking for a rewarding and supportive environment, then Academic Appointments would love to speak with you about these opportunities. All three roles require a permanent member of staff, so applicants would ideally want to take on permanent work in the school after an initial engagement period on supply. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check and referencing. We offer a recommend a friend scheme and re-registration bonus. Policies, including our ‘Equal Opportunities and Diversity Policy’, can be found on our website.
