About The Role:
Days of Working: Monday to Friday
Shift Pattern: 06:30am to 15:00pm
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and driven Chef to join our Catering team. This role will be based at our prestigious client site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering our outstanding food and drink offering to our clients and site visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and monitor the Kitchen and food operation at KBR Leatherhead.
* Effectively manage within budgetary restraints.
* Prepare and serve all restaurant and hospitality requirements.
* Conform to client and company specifications.
* Continuously develop and improve food quality and hygiene standards.
* Monitor customer trends and demands.
* Stay informed about changes in legislation.
* Meet client and company expectations, including monthly reviews.
* Respond to reasonable requests from the company or client via management or directly.
* Recruit, train, develop, and motivate the chef team.
* Ensure availability and proper storage of products, equipment, and materials.
* Apply quality control procedures to maintain high standards of service and compliance.
* Meet potential customers to discuss requirements and provide quotations.
* Innovate with live cookery, grab & go, theme days, and marketing promotions.
* Control budgets for kitchen staff, products, and materials, including accurate stock takes.
* Record and remit company bookwork timely as instructed.
* Hold regular team briefings covering relevant topics.
* Maintain staff kitchen records and training in line with legislation and company policy.
Candidate Criteria:
* Must have the right to work in the UK.
* Proven record of excellent budgetary control and management.
* Experience with P&L control and service delivery accountability.
* Strong people management skills.
* Good knowledge of health and safety requirements.
* IOSH qualification is an advantage.
* Basic Food Hygiene Level 3 certification.
* Intermediate Food Hygiene is desirable.
