We are looking for a Finance Transformation Manager - Record to Report for an initial 6 month contract,f lexible working including on-site attendance in Derby and London when required.
Job Description - The Role
Purpose of the role:
The role has been created to support the development of GBS Finance Services capability with a primary focus on supporting the implementation of the new Record to Report technology solution ('BlackLine') which is a key priority for 2025 in the context of the broader company's GBS Strategy.
The role will work closely with colleagues from across Finance, primarily in GBS but with an expectation of interactions from around the business both within the UK and internationally.
As a Finance Transformation Manager - Record to Report, the key responsibilities of the role will include:
Analysis and review of balance sheet reconciliations to support effective transition into the new BlackLine environment. This will include providing advice on balance sheet risk management and control in the new environment.
Process mapping and documentation of record to report processes, in particular those related to manual journal preparation, to enable standardisation and to identify opportunities for improving process efficiency (including automation) and control.
Facilitation of workshops with Finance stakeholders from around the world to support training, engagement and adoption of BlackLine functionality in their areas of responsibility.
What we require from the candidate:
A personable, driven and effective communicator with the ability to interact with and influence colleagues at all levels in the organisation.
Qualified Accountant supplemented with significant experience of operation or oversight of financial reporting processes in a large listed group.
A self-starter, able to take the initiative in getting to the heart of problems fast, and develop practical, efficient and effective solutions.
