Summary of the role Due to team expansion, we're looking for the ideal candidate to play a key technical and oversight role to ensure Diligenta and the services it provides its customers are compliant with FCA rules, requirements and principles. Includes supporting and overseeing regulatory change, analysing rules and regulations, managing policy and training and undertaking regulatory oversight exercises and thematic reviews. Deliver specialist advice on regulatory and legislative matters to senior leaders and operational teams�especially supporting the Technical Manager in embedding Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty considerations. Assess operational and technical functions (e.g., IT systems, data governance, risk controls) for alignment with regulatory frameworks and internal control standards. Support the implementation and communication of regulatory requirements through effective training and awareness initiatives. Drive the development and execution of oversight activities, including regulatory gap analysis, thematic assurance reviews, and the design of corporate monitoring processes. Represent the Compliance function at internal and external governance committees, ensuring regulatory requirements are clearly understood and embedded into business objectives. Provide administrative and strategic support to the Technical Manager and Head of Regulatory Services in interactions with the FCA Supervision Team and Proactive Engagement Programme. Advise on and oversee adherence to the Training and Competence (T&C) Policy across operational teams, ensuring a compliant and effective T&C framework is maintained. Provide timely and relevant advice to the Risk, Audit & Compliance Committee, Executive Management, governance forums, and clients on regulatory change management and its application. Maintain and evolve Compliance-owned policies, procedures, and control frameworks across the business, providing targeted training to senior stakeholders as needed. Support the delivery of Diligenta's annual Compliance Plan and contribute to strategic compliance initiatives for both existing and prospective clients. Engage collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory goals are met across all areas of responsibility. What we're looking for A proactive, discreet, and pragmatic compliance professional with a methodical approach to problem-solving. Proven ability to deliver practical compliance solutions with a confident and constructive mindset. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing at senior levels. Demonstrated ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships with clients and internal teams. Experience in a leadership or team oversight capacity with a focus on setting and achieving compliance goals. Familiar with regulatory horizon scanning to identify emerging risks, regulatory changes, and trends. Skilled in analysing management information to highlight regulatory concerns and inform decision-making. Ability to produce clear, concise reports and recommendations for senior leaders and clients. Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Minimum 3 years' experience in a Compliance or Risk function within the Financial Services industry. Strong understanding of the UK regulatory environment, including FCA regulations and principles. Comfortable taking initiative, navigating ambiguity, and addressing complex compliance challenges. Willingness to travel to other client locations as reasonably required.
