Role: Supplier Quality Specialist
Location: Remote – with travel– regular site visits on the South Coast
Role Type: 6 months – ongoing
Salary: around £35 an hour – depending on experience
Position Summary:
Our client, a huge player in the aerospace and aviation sphere, is seeking a (Supplier) QualitySpecialist. This home-based role involves supporting key suppliers across the UK, mainly the South Coast, with regular travel required to supplier sites. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring product quality and compliance throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct product verification and in-process inspections at supplier facilities.
* Review First ArticleInspection Reports (FAIR)in line with AS9102 standards.
* Assess and approveRoot Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) submissions.
* Prepare and deliverperformance metrics and quality data reports.
* Serve as a liaison betweenthe client's Programme and Engineering teams and suppliercontacts.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Reporting to the UK Team Lead, candidates must possess a solid background in quality assurance or inspection, with the abilityto interpret both 2D and 3D technical drawings, production documents, and manufacturing specifications.
* Practical experience in the production of composite, machined, and fabricated components is essential. Familiarity with the integration of electrical/electronic line replaceable units(LRUs), wiring looms, and fuel systems is highly advantageous.
* Proven ability to review FAIR documentation to AS9102 standards, clearly communicate any non-conformances, and work collaboratively to drive resolution.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Competency with computer-based systems for data input and reporting acrossvarious platforms.
