Overview
We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and creative Therapy Assistant Practitioners to join our Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physiotherapy (PT) team at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust. Positions are available in Stevenage, Hertford, and Watford.
Responsibilities
* Support OTs and PTs in the delivery of clinics, workshops and therapeutic interventions.
* Assist with assessment and treatment of children and young people across Universal, Targeted and Specialist tiers, including conditions such as cerebral palsy, autistic spectrum disorder and developmental coordination disorder.
* Carry out home assessments and advise on equipment, housing adaptations and rehousing.
* Collaborate with colleagues in the wider multi‑agency team to support children, young people and their families.
* Participate in CPD activities, supervision, peer‑support meetings and staff appraisal.
Qualifications
* Experience working with therapists and/or with children in a therapeutic setting.
* Computer literate with good working knowledge of a variety of computer systems and programmes.
* Enthusiastic and motivated with strong communication, clinical reasoning and organisational skills.
* Team player able to work autonomously and champion the needs of patients.
* Valid driving licence and access to a cart for business purposes.
Salary
This post includes a basic salary and a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary, with a minimum payment of £1,303 and a maximum payment of £2,198 per annum pro rata, depending on base location.
