Private Client Paralegal – Guiseley We are working with a well-established and highly regarded Yorkshire law firm to recruit a Private Client Paralegal for its Guiseley office on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Solicitor or career paralegal with a genuine interest in Wills and Probate to gain hands-on experience within a supportive and experienced Private Client team. The role will involve assisting lawyers with a varied caseload of private client matters, offering valuable exposure to all stages of files from opening through to completion, with ongoing training and supervision provided. The Role You will support Solicitors and legal executives on a range of Wills and Probate matters, working accurately and efficiently while delivering high standards of client care. As your experience and confidence develop, there will be scope to take on increased responsibility and a broader range of work. Key Responsibilities Assist fee earners with Wills and Probate matters at all stages, from file opening through to archiving, in line with office and accounts procedures. Obtain, prepare and manage file documentation. Maintain regular contact with clients and third parties, providing progress updates in a professional and client-friendly manner. Assist with billing and the recovery of monies due from clients and third parties. Maintain and develop legal knowledge and practical skills. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of office procedures and working practices. Support the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment. Undertake any additional duties reasonably required to support the team. Essential Skills & Attributes Excellent client care skills with a professional and approachable manner. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines under supervision. Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure. Confident written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently when required and collaboratively as part of a team. Customer-focused approach to handling enquiries. IT proficient and comfortable learning new systems. Experience Experience working in a law firm is desirable but not essential. Previous exposure to Wills and Probate work would be an advantage.
