We are hiring! Here at Village Vets & Meadowbank, we are looking for a friendly and approachable Veterinary Receptionist to join our team!. As the first point of contact, our receptionists play a vital role in ensuring that our clients and their pets have a welcoming and positive experience. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a warm and compassionate demeanour, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. You’ll be joining a small, close-knit team that looks after one another, creating a supportive and friendly environment. Main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to; Liaising with the clients and the clinical staff to provide a high level of customer care. Meeting and greeting clients and pets. Booking appointments and diary management. Managing telephone and email enquiries. Taking payment for services and products. Managing cash and end-of-day banking. About The Rota This is a full-time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week over 4 days. There will be 1 in 7 Saturdays involved. More about us Village Vets now employs over 30 staff. We are extremely proud of our nursing team, which is comprised of a large number of qualified nurses who take their own clinics, including weight clinics, diabetic clinics, puppy parties and healthy pet checks. Our veterinary team is very diverse and includes vets with special interests in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, ultrasonography and behaviour. Our vets have excellent working relationships with local referral practices and regularly undertake further training courses to enhance their knowledge. The Buckley practice is credited with hospital status and has state-of-the-art facilities, including three surgical suites, digital x-ray and endoscopy equipment and an ultrasound machine that is identical to that used in human hospitals. There are separate cat and dog kennels, isolation kennels for infectious patients and an in-house laboratory where blood and other samples can be processed the same day.
