Role Overview
Quest Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer. The PE will manage, monitor, and report the delivery of long‑duration, complex projects, ensuring that all manufactured parts are delivered in accordance with the project plan and supporting internal stakeholders. The project engineer works closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to achieve project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain the programme plan and risk matrices.
* Mitigate risks where possible.
* Work closely with internal departments to ensure that project plans are adhered to.
* Coordinate with customer‑facing project managers to ensure alignment of plans, tools and methodologies.
* Manage changes to the project scope and schedule using appropriate techniques.
* Establish and maintain relationships with sub‑suppliers/third parties.
* Coordinate communication and work between the various business functions.
* Hold various business function leads accountable for plan and milestone adherence.
* Focus on achieving monthly milestones while maintaining a longer‑term strategic view.
* Lead internal manufacturing meetings and be the key point of contact.
* Report and escalate project status as appropriate.
* Maintain business and customer KPIs and business systems (SAP).
* Organise and co‑ordinate customer witness points as per IPT.
* Maintain traceability spreadsheet for all manufactured parts.
Required Skills (Technical Competency)
* Mechanical engineering or manufacturing background is essential.
* Heavy engineering background.
* Fully proficient in MS Office and MS Project.
* Experienced and competent SAP user.
* Strong organisational skills: multi‑tasking, time management, and planning.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing.
* Experience in project management and engineering.
* Strong organisation skills and ability to report upwards to Board level – strong communication skills, confident interacting with a range of stakeholders.
* Experience at customer management and business development practices – creating bids, winning bids.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills – capable of forming and maintaining effective relationships throughout the business and stakeholder community.
