– and we're looking for skilled editors to help bring our drafts to life.
The Opportunity
We're trialling external contributors to refine materials for our new
GAMSAT Study Guide
. This role is ideal for experienced editors or copywriters who can translate complex material – particularly in the
Humanities and Social Sciences
– into accessible, structured, and engaging content for graduate-level students. For reference, see our UCAT Study Notes.
You will turn rough drafts into concise, engaging tips – short, chunkable learning units – consistent with our tone and house style, while also developing illustrator briefs for images to support these tips.
Key Responsibilities
* Edit and rewrite clear, structured study tips on exam strategies, score-raising techniques and study skills for
Humanities and Social Sciences reasoning
questions.
* Ensure each study tip is concise, engaging, and consistent with Medify's tone and style.
* Rework existing materials and develop new content aligned with GAMSAT standards.
* Ideate and develop illustrator briefs for curriculum content.
* Collaborate with Medify's Learning team to trial content and respond to feedback.
* Deliver high-quality content to tight deadlines (Nov 2025 – Jan 2026).
About You (Essential)
* Significant experience in
copyediting, rewriting, developmental design, or developmental editing
.
* Strong writing skills with the ability to simplify and engage.
* Excellent command of language, syntax, tone and house style.
* Independent worker who can meet deadlines and respond to feedback.
* Based in the
UK or Australia
, with eligibility to work in your country of residence.
* A degree in a Humanities or Social Sciences field.
Desirable
* Familiarity with GAMSAT, UCAT, GMAT, GRE, or other graduate-entry exams.
* Experience creating MCQs or learning content.
* Paid experience writing or editing
educational content for adult or graduate learners
.
* Teaching experience in
Humanities or Social Sciences
.
Contract Details
* Start:
Recruitment from mid–late October 2025, trials immediately after.
* End:
January 2026.
* Pay:
£35 per hour.
