Job Title: EYFS Support Assistant
Location: Poole
Are you passionate about early childhood education and making a positive impact on young learners? Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team of EYFS Support Assistants in Poole.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Assist the class teacher in creating a stimulating and safe learning environment for children aged 1 to 5 years
2. Support the development of children’s social, emotional, and cognitive skills through age-appropriate activities and play
3. Work with small groups or individual children to provide additional support and guidance as needed
4. Help maintain a tidy and organised classroom, preparing resources and materials for daily activities
5. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a nurturing and inclusive learning community.
Requirements:
6. Relevant experience working with young children, ideally within an early years setting
7. A genuine passion for early childhood education and a desire to contribute to children’s development
8. Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and adults
9. Understanding of the EYFS framework and its principles
10. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the classroom.
Desired Qualifications:
11. Minimum of a Level 2 Early Years qualification (, CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent)
12. Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance or willingness to undergo one
13. Valid references from previous employers
