We will provide training and supervision including progress for accreditation in DBT where relevant.
PART TIME HOURS: 0.6 WTE / 3 days / 22.5 hours a week
You will join a team of over 20 Consultant Psychologists and 50 registered Psychologists based across our 3 sites (Northampton, Birmingham and Essex) and our Community Partnerships division. There will be many opportunities for career progression.
Due to service changes, a post has arisen for a Principal Psychologist within the DBT team for women benefiting from this evidence-based intervention. The successful applicant will join a well-established psychology department with professional support and diverse expertise. The DBT team includes nurses, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, and social workers delivering DBT as therapists.
We seek a Principal Clinical or Forensic Psychologist experienced in working with individuals with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder and delivering Dialectical Behaviour Therapy in an inpatient setting. Applicants confident in their skills and interested in further developing to become an accredited DBT therapist (if not already) are encouraged to apply.
Main duties of the job
You will be a HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist with experience working in an inpatient setting. Your role will involve conducting clinical and risk assessments, developing formulations collaboratively, planning psychological interventions, and consulting with the wider clinical team to facilitate patient progress towards less restrictive environments.
