We have an opportunity for a Quality and Risk Manager to join their team of staff in the Quality Assurance department.
This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
* Lead and co-ordinate the hospital's clinical governance and quality assurance programmes to ensure safe and high-quality patient care.
* Review and analyse quality, safety, and governance data, using CHG systems to identify trends, support decision-making, and deliver improvement actions.
* Prepare the hospital for CQC/HIS/HIW inspections, working proactively with department leads to ensure evidence of compliance is in place.
* Manage the local complaints process, ensuring that all complaints are investigated and closed within policy timeframes, with a focus on learning and resolution.
* Promote and embed a culture of safety, quality, and accountability throughout the hospital.
* Ensure robust data collection systems are in place to monitor compliance with national policies and internal standards.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
* Experience in the healthcare industry, with a strong understanding of clinical governance, risk, and regulatory frameworks.
* Proven experience in complaints and incident management, including root cause analysis and structured investigation methodologies.
* Knowledge of CQC/HIS/HIW requirements and experience supporting inspection readiness and follow-up.
* Demonstrated ability to present, lead groups, deliver training, and facilitate change.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence across clinical and non-clinical teams.
* Qualifications in a health-related discipline.
