Quality Inspector\n\nJob Type: Aerospace & Defence\n\nStart Date: June 2025\n\nDuration: Permanent\n\nLocation: Reading\n\nSalary: From £40,000 per annum\n\nExperience: Must have a background in Aerospace/Defence\n\nWe are currently recruiting a Quality Inspector for one of our Aerospace clients in Reading. Our client, a dynamic and innovative aircraft manufacturer, are renowned within the Aerospace and Defence worlds, supplying high quality and industry standard sheet metal work and fabrications to multiple world-renowned companies with massive stakes in the Aerospace/Defence markets. They are looking for a skilled and ambitious Quality Inspector to join their tight-knight inspection team and deliver to the well-established standard they have set over many years in the business.
With exciting chances of progression and the prospect of having a lasting impact on the ever changing Aerospace industry, this opportunity could be the ideal role.\n\nResponsibilities of the Quality Inspector Role\n\nTo produce First Article Inspection Reports and to be able to use a CMM in support of this.\nTo provide roaming and final inspection for all products\nTo inspect incoming goods from sub-contract suppliers\nLiaise with customers/suppliers on all quality matters, queries and non-conformances\nTo raise Certificates of Conformity and delivery documentation.\nTo aid in the control of external and internal equipment calibrations.\nTo raise sub-contract Purchase Orders on approved suppliers\nTo check First Off production parts\nLiaise with all levels of staff (management to shop floor) on all aspects of quality and continuous improvement opportunities.\nSupport the management in developing a "continuous improvement" culture.\nTo aid the maintenance of current approvals for AS9100 & Nadcap.\nOther adhoc duties as agreed from time to time by the Chief Inspector/Quality Manager. \n\nRequirements for the Quality Inspector Role\n\nMust Have experience within the Aerospace/Defence sectors.\nHave experience using CMM Equipment (Preferably Aberlink)\nExperience raising First Article reports.\nPrevious experience as a Quality Inspector/Engineer\nKnowledge of governing body regulations such as the CAA and EASA.\nAttention to detail and an analytical, problem-solving mindset.\nStrong communication skills. \n\n Benefits of the Quality Inspector Role:\n\nCompetitive salary.\nStrong career development and opportunities to progress.\nSkill development.\nBonuses and incentives.\nPaid time off.\nRetirement and financial benefits.
