Job Title: Primary Behaviour Mentor
Location: Peacehaven
Salary: £90 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a resilient and compassionate Primary Behaviour Mentor to join a nurturing school community in Peacehaven.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will support primary-aged pupils who present with challenging behaviour and social, emotional, or mental health (SEMH) needs. You will work 1:1 and in small groups to help them re-engage with learning, build trust, and develop strategies for positive behaviour.
Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to pupils displaying disruptive or challenging behaviour.
* Build positive relationships and act as a trusted adult within the school environment.
* Assist in the implementation of individual behaviour support plans.
* Promote emotional regulation and model appropriate responses to frustration or conflict.
* Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to monitor progress and plan interventions.
* Encourage a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people with behavioural challenges or SEMH needs.
* Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
* A calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour support.
* Ability to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries.
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
