About the Role
As a Deputy Depot Night Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing our night shift operations. Reporting directly to the Depot Manager, you’ll ensure the accurate and timely delivery of newspapers and magazines to our retailers. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of our management team and make a real impact!
Your Responsibilities
In this engaging role, you will:
* Supervise Staff: Lead your team by providing training, coaching, and identifying development needs.
* Report Accurately: Create reports that highlight challenges and successes within the operation.
* Collaborate with Management: Work closely with the management team to identify and mitigate potential risks.
* Ensure Safety: Maintain a high level of health and safety at all times.
* Compliance: Ensure adherence to legislation and company policies.
* Budget Management: Work within an annual set budget and forecast.

About You
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in a warehouse management role. You should be able to demonstrate:
* Experience: A background in a fast-paced environment managing large operations.
* Communication Skills: Outstanding ability to build relationships with team members and management.
* Operational Planning: Experience in planning and executing night operations effectively.
* Tenacity: A proactive approach to meeting and exceeding targets.
* Tech Savvy: Proficiency in IT systems, particularly MS Office.
* Business Acumen: Strong commercial and financial awareness.
