About the Company
A growing building services contractor delivering mechanical, electrical, and maintenance solutions across the South East. With a strong pipeline of work and continued expansion, they are looking to strengthen their procurement team with the addition of an Assistant Buyer.
The Role
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within procurement in the construction / M&E sector.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the purchasing of materials, equipment, and services across multiple projects, ensuring everything is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Sourcing and purchasing materials, plant, and services
* Raising and managing purchase orders
* Building and maintaining supplier relationships
* Tracking deliveries and ensuring materials arrive on time
* Supporting stock control and cost management
* Working closely with project and operational teams to meet project demands
What They’re Looking For
* Previous experience in a buying / procurement role within construction, engineering, or M&E
* Good understanding of materials and supply chain processes
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
* Confident liaising with suppliers and internal teams
