About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Respiratory Department for an experienced secretary to join our existing administrative team. We are looking for individuals ideally with medical secretarial experience in a hospital or clinical environment that are able to work both within busy teams and on their own initiative.
Responsibilities
* Typing clinical correspondence
* Providing comprehensive secretarial support and assistance
* Medical audio typing
* Using the digital dictation system
* Clinic preparation
* Liaising with patients, general practitioners and referring hospitals
* Providing a considerate, patient-focused service in all dealings with patients and staff around the hospital and throughout the whole system
Qualifications
* Excellent typing, organisational and interpersonal skills
* Professional attitude towards work
* Ability to work flexibly in a busy environment
* Experience working both within busy teams and independently
