Aberdeenshire’s Occupational Therapy Service is pleased to offer a part‑time Band 6 position for an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Community Rehabilitation Team. This role will play a key part in shaping and delivering the Discharge to Assess (D2A) model in Aberdeenshire.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward‑thinking clinician to be based in either Fraserburgh or Peterhead. The post holder will contribute significantly to supporting timely hospital discharge and ensuring safe, effective rehabilitation at home.
Responsibilities
* Provide a priority response to facilitate timely hospital discharge.
* Provide a priority response for patients referred to our virtual community wards, enabling them to remain at home wherever possible.
* Work within a multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency framework to ensure seamless care in the community.
* Manage a diverse caseload with a wide range of conditions and complex needs.
* Supervise and allocate work to OT support staff and contribute to student training.
* Play an active role in service development within your locality and the wider Health & Social Care Partnership.

Additional Information
There will be an expectation to provide services over 7 days, including weekends, public holidays and extended hours where required, to meet the need of services.
As from 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata, but a corresponding increase in the hourly rate will ensure pay is not affected.
