Job Purpose
* Tottenham Hotspur Women are looking to recruit a sports Psychologist to work as part of a collaborative Sport Science and Medical team.
* The purpose of the role is to support and develop a high-performance club environment that promotes the ethos of the Head coach and his staff, whilst delivering evidence-based psychological support to enhance individual and team performance.
* It will support the players holistically and create a platform in which they can deliver under pressure.
* The role will suit psychologists who have experience working collaboratively in high performance teams to positively impact performance and enhance mental health.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide individual and small-group interventions aligned with training and competition demands.
* Support players in managing performance transitions, injury rehabilitation and return-to-play processes alongside the wider multidisciplinary team.
* Provide targeted psychology support to individuals and coaching staff.
* Provide effective contribution and develop strong collaborative relationships with the multidisciplinary team, including physical performance coaches, nutritionists, medics, analysts and the player liaison lead.
* Develop a robust process for ensuring performance impact is measurable and visible to all parties.
* Support development of strategies to develop positive team dynamics and high-performance communication skills under pressure.
* Support development of strategies to develop ability to perform and thrive under pressure.
* Where appropriate, identify and facilitate appropriate communication methods, including workshops, to inform and educate players, coaches and key stakeholders in the effective use of sports psychology.
* Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.
* Maintain a comprehensive, indexed database of work conducted with players and staff.
* Potential match day travel with team to home and away fixtures.

Specific Experience
* HCPC Registered.
* BSc (Hons) in Psychology.
* MSc Sports Psychology.
* BASES or BPS Accretated.
* Demonstrate and have significant experience of providing psychological support to athletes and coaches to improve performance.
* Experience of working within a Performance support team in the delivery of psychological support to high performing teams.
Skills & Experience
* An understanding of the needs of the Head Coach, Technical Team and players in a team environment.
* Ability to communicate complex ideas and data in terms that are easily understood by a wide range of audiences.
* Excellent communication skills that can motivate behavioural changes to have a positive impact on performance.
* Experience of travelling domestically and/or internationally for team competitions.
