Are you a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant looking to grow in a supportive environment? At Thornton, our Senior Care Assistants are vital in delivering high-quality, person-centred care throughout the night. With a dedicated Night Care Manager on-site, you'll never be the most senior person in the home overnight, giving you reassurance and support to focus on providing exceptional care to our residents.
Rates of pay:
* NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care: £13.80 per hour
Shifts available:
* Nights - Part-time and Full-time shifts available. 22hrs - 44hrs per week
Introduction to the role:
Orchard Care Homes is committed to delivering high-quality individual care tailored to each person's needs. Our focus includes appropriate medication management and meaningful activities for all residents. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will assess individual needs, develop person-centred care plans, and ensure that medical, physical, and emotional needs are met. Additional training will be provided to ensure competency in medication administration.
Responsibilities:
1. Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate high-standard nursing care meeting individual needs and Orchard Care Homes' standards.
2. Ensure residents are treated with respect and dignity, respecting their rights to privacy, independence, and choice.
3. Lead, supervise, support, and develop the care team.
4. Communicate effectively with external professionals, residents, and relatives.
Requirements:
* Previous care experience within Older People's care or dementia settings.
* Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
