Principal ILS & Obsolescence Engineer
Location: New Malden (Hybrid: 1-2 days on-site, remainder remote)
Duration: 2-3 months with potential extension (client currently looking to see if they can of initial longer contract)

Our client, a leading organisation in UK Defence, is seeking a dedicated Principal ILS & Obsolescence Engineer to join their team supporting prestigious maritime programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to projects that shape the future of defence technology.
What you'll be doing:
• Lead the ILS process across various programmes, ensuring seamless integration and delivery
• Provide expert ILS guidance to engineering teams, supporting complex product development
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
• Oversee ILS activities throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring compliance and quality
• Manage technical aspects of supplier relationships, ensuring standards are met
What you'll bring:
• Extensive experience in ILS & Obsolescence Engineering methods and techniques
• Degree qualification or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
• Proven experience in managing customer and supplier relationships
• Leadership skills with a talent for team management and mentoring
