We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Assistant Tutor to support our after-school clubs for children aged 4-11. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with children and has an interest in the performing arts. The role involves assisting the lead tutor in delivering fun, creative, and engaging sessions that help build confidence, teamwork, and performance skills.
There may be the opportunity for increased hours and responsibility, if desired at our holiday theatre workshops and weekly regular classes.
Responsibilities
* Assist the lead tutor in delivering drama and singing activities tailored to children's age and abilities.
* Engage positively with children during warm-ups, games, vocal exercises, and performances.
* Support the supervision of children
Qualifications/Experience
* A genuine interest in drama, singing, or performing arts (training or experience in either is a plus).
* Experience working with children (either professionally or in a voluntary capacity).
* A fun, caring & warm personality
* Able to build a good rapport with children
* Freeland status and, as such, will be responsible for your own tax, national insurance, pension and insurance.
* A full driving licence would be useful as the job involves driving to different locations within the territory.
* Prior to undertaking any work with us, we need to ensure that you have a full enhanced DBS (and be on the update service), safeguarding training, public liability insurance and fire marshal training. We can support you to obtain these.
* Paediatric first aid training is desirable but not essential.
