Rate of Pay: £12.84 - £16.61 per hour
Summary:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Grounds Operative to support the delivery of high-quality grounds maintenance services across parks, schools, playing fields, landscaped areas, and public open spaces. The role involves maintaining outdoor environments to a high standard while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and service specifications
Responsibilities:
* Carry out grounds maintenance duties including grass cutting, hedge trimming, and maintenance of sports areas.
* Assist with the setting out and marking of sports pitches and the upkeep of artificial, synthetic, and natural playing surfaces.
* Undertake cleaning duties across public buildings, changing rooms, toilets, parks, playgrounds, and open spaces.
* Operate handheld tools, powered machinery, light plant equipment, tractors, and tractor-mounted equipment.
* Carry out visual inspections of playground equipment and maintain accurate inspection records.
Essential Requirements:
* Previous experience in gardening, grounds maintenance, or landscaping environments.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Full driving licence.
* Ability to tow trailers.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
* Understanding of COSHH regulations.
* Training or experience in the use of grounds maintenance machinery and equipment.
