We’re looking for a friendly, hands-on IT Support Engineer (End User Computing) to join our supportive IT team in Haydock. You’ll play a key role in helping colleagues across the business with everything from day-to-day support to exciting new technology rollouts. What you’ll be doing As part of our End User Computing team, you’ll: Resolve incidents and service requests raised through the Service Desk Ensure all issues are resolved within agreed SLAs Install, rebuild, repair, and upgrade PCs, laptops, Wyse terminals and peripherals Support Cisco telephony systems and local area networks Manage Microsoft Intune, device management, and patching across all laptops and desktops Assist with new office setups, relocations, and hardware rollouts Work with Supply Chain and external partners to ensure the right equipment is always available Maintain accurate documentation and follow change control procedures Support and share knowledge with colleagues across IT Every day will bring something different — from helping new starters get set up to keeping critical systems running smoothly. What we’re looking for We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about technology and enjoys helping others. You’ll bring a positive attitude, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn. Ideally, you’ll have: Experience in an End User Support or Desktop Support environment Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 10, and Citrix Understanding of local area networking and patching Experience with PCs, Wyse terminals, printers, and telephony equipment Strong organisational skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure Willingness to travel to other Speedy sites when needed A proactive, flexible, and team-focused approach Experience with budgets, purchase orders, or commercial processes would be a plus, but not essential — what matters most is your enthusiasm and drive to deliver great service.
