Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking a Medical Secretary to work with our client based in Lincoln on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to medical staff, clinical nurse specialists, and business unit teams
* Coordinate elective access, theatre lists, and clinic sessions to maximise efficiency
* Manage patient waiting lists and pathways, ensuring timely updates and validation
* Deal with correspondence, medical reports, and minutes of meetings, liaising with patients, GPs, hospitals, solicitors, and internal departments
* Assist with data collection for audits and statutory reporting
* Support research, teaching materials, and consultant diary management
* Train new or less experienced staff and demonstrate departmental processes
* Use and maintain electronic systems including PAS and WardV, adapting to new technology and protocols
* Ensure compliance with deadlines, health & safety policies, and mandatory updates
Essential Criteria
* Strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills
* Secretarial experience includng diary management and minute taking
* DBS clearance
* Attention to detail with a commitment to data quality
* Ability to manage and escalate issues appropriately
