The role
As an MFL Teacher, you will:
7. Teach Modern Foreign Languages across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities available for suitable candidates)
8. Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
9. Promote confidence, cultural awareness, and effective communication
10. Differentiate effectively to support pupils of mixed abilities, including those with SEND
11. Maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment
12. Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
13. Work collaboratively within the Languages department and wider staff team
Languages such as French, Spanish, and German are particularly welcomed.
We’re looking for someone who:
14. Holds QTS (or equivalent UK teaching qualification)
15. Has experience teaching MFL in UK secondary schools
16. Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and confident classroom management
17. Is committed to inclusive practice and safeguarding
18. Is adaptable, reliable, and professional
19. Is happy to work PAYE, with clear and transparent pay
This role is suitable for ECTs, experienced teachers, and those returning to the profession.
Pay & contract
20. £163–£ per day, depending on experience
21. Weekly PAYE pay – no umbrella companies, no hidden deductions
22. Long-term and day-to-day supply opportunities available, with potential for continuity
