If you want exposure, variety, and the chance to shape your own development, this is the one.Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Taking ownership of management accounts
* Preparing and delivering weekly reporting, including a 13-week cash flow forecast
* Gathering financial data from key stakeholders
* Managing the monthly reporting cycle, including production of management accounts, balance sheet review and reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, payroll journals and review
* Investigating and resolving variances, analysing overheads and cost performance
* Supporting budgeting processes and building a strong understanding of business performance drivers
* Gradually taking on increased responsibility as you grow in the role
What you will need:
* AAT qualified and actively studying towards CIMA (or equivalent)
* Experience producing or contributing to management accounts in a similar role (Assistant Accountant, Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Junior Accountant)
* Confident with balance sheet reconciliations and posting a variety of journals (accruals, prepayments, payroll)
* Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
* Experience with Sage 200 (or similar systems)
* A progressive, passionate approach and a genuine desire to learn and take on more
