Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Freelance Trainer/Assessor at Phoenix Assessments & Training Ltd. The Trainer/Assessor will be responsible for conducting workplace assessments, delivering training sessions, and managing end-to-end assessment processes for NVQs in the construction and plant sectors. The role involves collaborating with employers and learners to create tailored development plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards, maintaining detailed records, and providing feedback to support learner progression and qualification achievement.
Qualifications
Strong assessing and training skills, including conducting workplace assessments, developing training plans, and managing learner progress.
Knowledgeable in the construction and plant sectors, industry standards, and compliance requirements, with the ability to align qualifications to client needs.
Excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with learners and employers.
Attention to detail in maintaining accurate records, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring compliance with assessment regulations.
Relevant professional qualifications or certifications (assessor qualification such as A1, D32/D33, CAVA), and familiarity with CSCS card schemes.
Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms to conduct remote assessments and manage training activities.
Ability to work independently with strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
Experience in training or assessing within the construction industry is preferred but not essential.
A commitment to professional development and a passion for supporting workforce growth and competence-building.
This is a freelance position so you will invoice us a fixed fee for each assessment or training session you complete. We are particularly interested in hearing from people who currently run face to face / classroom based training in both the construction and health and social care sectors (we also have a division that provides Health & Social Care training and qualifications). A relevent teaching qualification is essential for these roles.
