Job Description
Reporting to the Group Manager (Parking Services), you will be part of a team that delivers an effective parking service for Glasgow.
Your responsibilities include designing parking control schemes and restriction measures, managing Traffic Regulation Orders, overseeing works programmes, enforcing parking restrictions, and maintaining parking assets.
You should be able to produce reports, monitor performance, liaise with contractors, and meet project deadlines within budget. Providing technical advice, responding to public and elected member correspondence, and attending site meetings are also required.
Minimum qualifications include an HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline, good communication and IT skills, and a valid UK driving license. Attendance at meetings outside standard hours is necessary.
Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD is essential, and experience with KEYLines software is desirable. An AutoCAD test will be part of the interview process.
Experience in roads, traffic, or road safety environments, report writing, works planning, and knowledge of UK traffic legislation are advantageous.
This role offers hybrid working, requiring attendance at the office at least 60% of the time over a 10-day period.
