Site Engineer - Environment
Location - Argyll and Bute
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Site Engineer to manage projects valued at up to £K with Scottish Water, covering short-term projects across Argyll and Bute. The work spans the next six years with an extension option. The projects involve repair, refurbishment, and replacement works in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, construction, and maintenance sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Participate in creating a safe working environment.
* Coordinate site engineering activities, including control and setting out, and communicate with operatives and subcontractors.
* Complete diary sheets and photographic evidence as needed.
* Undertake material reconciliations and ensure calibration of surveying equipment.
* Conduct as-built surveys and maintain quality records in accordance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
* Assist in planning, monitoring, and programming tasks.
* Mentor junior and graduate engineers.
* Control waste and introduce innovative processes on site.
* Ensure the security and proper care of company property.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Relevant industry qualification.
* Heavy civil engineering experience.
* Proficiency in setting out, surveying techniques, and modern instrumentation.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Certifications: CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid.
* CAD experience.
