Consultant Radiologist with special interest in Chest

Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Chest/Thoracic Radiologist at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will contribute to the delivery of a high-quality radiology service within a busy imaging department as part of the chest radiology team.
The successful candidate will join a team of 34 other Consultant Radiologists in Bradford and contribute to the diagnostic on call rota of 1:15.
Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides acute services for the City of Bradford and surrounding areas, and has two large Hospitals; Bradford Royal Infirmary and St. Luke's Hospital and is also part of the Eccleshill Diagnostic Centre. Main duties of the job
In addition to specialist Chest/Thoracic service, the appointee will support:
Specialty: The radiologist will join their specialty colleagues to report from the specialty 'reporting basket' in PACS (AGFA EI) as well as 'acute' reporting baskets. They will prepare and attend Specialty MDTs and clinical meetings and will be expected to be available to respond to specialist queries. They will have CT and US intervention sessions and must be able to perform all aspects of chest interventions, such as chest drainage and lung biopsies.

Job responsibilities
The overall composition of the job plan is not expected to change. The appointee will work closely with two colleagues (one of which is partially retired and part-time) with special interests in chest/thoracic imaging, the Respiratory team and the Lung Cancer MDT and team. Specialist activities include Lung MDT and all chest CT and US Interventions.

Experience
Evidence of completing an approved period of training in radiology
Qualifications
MBCP or equivalent, FRCR or Equivalent, Member of the Royal College of Radiologists (UK) or equivalent CCT or within 6 months of AAC date On Specialist Register with GMC and continue to hold a licence to practice
