An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Support Medical Secretary to provide a valuable support service to the Medicine Division at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. The post is Band 3 and the successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week on a 6‑month secondment.
Responsibilities
* Produce accurate clinical and general correspondence, regularly using complex and sensitive medical terminology from audio transcription.
* Respond to telephone calls from anxious and distressed patients, handling contentious, sensitive and difficult enquiries with appropriate care.
* Work alongside other Medical Secretaries, contributing to a busy office environment.
Qualifications
* RSA level 3 or equivalent and possess excellent audio typing skills.
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
* Experience within a medical environment is desirable but is not essential.
