HR and Payroll Apprentice - Workington
Salary: £13,741 per annum (Apprenticeship rate - subject to review upon initial completion)
Adecco is delighted to be supporting our outstanding client in Workington with a unique and exciting opportunity to join their Human Resources and Payroll team as an HR and Payroll Apprentice.
This is an excellent entry-level role for someone looking to begin a career in both HR and Payroll. The successful candidate will be enrolled on a full CIPD-accredited HR qualification, along with relevant Payroll qualifications, all fully supported by the employer.
Role Overview:
The primary purpose of this role is to assist with the day-to-day operations of the HR and Payroll functions. You will be responsible for a range of administrative and support tasks, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies, while delivering a professional and efficient service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide HR support to line managers, ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies
Maintain accurate and accessible HR records in line with audit and legal requirements
Assist with payroll processing and related administrative tasks
Deliver timely and efficient HR and Payroll support across all departments
Respond to internal queries and ensure a high standard of customer service
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Qualifications and Requirements:
No prior experience required - full training will be provided
A genuine interest in a career within HR and Payroll is essential
Apprenticeship study support offered, including CIPD and payroll qualifications
Education:
Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
Skills and Attributes:
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy
Strong organisational and time management skills
A team player with a proactive and flexible approach
Good communication skills across all levels of the business
Professionalism, tact, discretion, and a high level of confidentiality
