CAMHS Specialist Eating Disorder Dietitian – Bedfordshire & Luton Community
Eating Disorders Team CAMHS - Band 7, Part time - 18.75 hours per week
Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our multidisciplinary Community Eating Disorders Service, with support within our Intensive Day Service, working with children and adolescents.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist assessment and treatment for children and young people with eating disorders.
* Deliver nutritional support and education to patients and families.
* Use strong communication and motivational skills to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.
* Build positive therapeutic relationships with children, young people and families.
* Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and work with an experienced dietitian for continuity of care.
Key Qualifications and Attributes
* Experience working as a dietitian in a clinical setting, preferably within a specialist eating disorders, CAMHS or paediatric environment.
* Strong communication, motivational interviewing, and therapeutic skills.
* Emotional intelligence, resilience, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Adaptable and transferable dietetic skills with the ability to work autonomously within a part‑time schedule.
Location
Open to staff working within North London (Luton and Dunstable), Milton Keynes, and Northampton (Mid Beds and Bedford) – accessible from the community.
