We’re working with a fast-paced FMCG business seeking a forward-thinking Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team and drive sustainable operational excellence.
This is a role for someone who doesn’t just fix issues as they arise but takes a step back to understand why they happen — and builds long-term solutions that prevent them from returning.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance
* Take a strategic approach to engineering challenges, using data and insight to identify trends and prioritise improvements
* Own and drive root cause analysis across site issues, ensuring robust, long-term corrective actions are implemented
* Deliver continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reliability, efficiency, and overall equipment performance
* Optimise planned preventative maintenance (PPM) strategies to minimise downtime and maximise productivity
* Support and lead change initiatives that strengthen operational capability and future-proof the site
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience in an Engineering Manager role within a fast paced manufacturer
* A strategic thinker who can balance short-term pressures with long-term improvement goals
* Strong expertise in root cause analysis methodologies and a track record of implementing sustainable solutions
* Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement and leading change
* An engaging leader who can influence, develop, and motivate teams
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
