*Job Summary*We are seeking an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician / Master Technician to join our busy and well-established workshop. As VW Audi Specialists, we operate to a main dealer standard, focusing primarily on VAG vehicles, alongside BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover, and other modern vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostics for both electrical and mechanical faults, carrying out engine work including timing chains, major repairs, and rebuilds, and utilising specialist tools such as VCDS, ODIS, and ISTA. The role requires ensuring all work is completed to a high standard with minimal comebacks, while working across a diverse range of modern vehicles.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on various types of machinery and vehicles.
* Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
* Perform inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
* Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used.
* Collaborate with team members to improve repair processes and efficiency.
* Keep the workshop organised and maintain cleanliness at all times.
* Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical technology.
* Utilise specialist tools such as VCDS, ODIS, and ISTA.
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard with minimal comebacks.
*Skills*
* Proficient in mechanical repair techniques and troubleshooting methods.
* Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Good communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to mechanical work.
* Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
