Role Overview
The Youth Worker will contribute to the delivery of youth work opportunities in a variety of settings, including youth clubs and in collaboration with schools and other agencies. The role is reported to a Youth Development Worker and works closely with other youth work staff and volunteers to maximize opportunities for young people to access social and personal development as well as learning opportunities.

* The grade of this post is E
* Rate of pay includes a Distant Islands Allowance of £1.5523 per hour
* Two temporary part‑time posts: 10.0 hours per week, 40.0 weeks per year – based on working Fridays from 2‑10 pm with 2 hours a week available to work flexibly
* Temporary contracts for approximately 8 months
* Preferred candidates will be required to join or update their Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to a formal offer
* Relocation package does not apply to this post
* Interview expenses paid from within Shetland
* Flexible working arrangements are possible
