About the Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, your role is central to the smooth running of our home. You’ll lead a team of Care Assistants to deliver high‑quality, personalised care, while inspiring, developing and nurturing them to be their best every day.
Your Responsibilities
* Take day‑to‑day responsibility for running a unit.
* Support clinical duties, including assisting the nurse with observations, medication, care plan reviews and accurate record keeping.
* Lead and manage a team of Care Assistants, including responsibility for all shift handovers.
* Support the training and supervision of new staff to ensure they feel welcomed and confident.
* Build strong relationships with residents, families, GPs and District Nurses.
* Assist residents with a range of personal care duties.
Key Skills & Qualifications
* Completed or working towards NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (support available if still completing it).
* Motivated, positive and a strong communicator, with the ability to work effectively within a close‑knit team.
* Previous experience in a senior care role, with an understanding of both the rewards and challenges.
