The Support worker / Healthcare assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with day to day routines including personal care and feeding.
The Healthcare Assistants / support worker must have at least 6 months experience in care and be compassionate.
Healthcare Assistants help with the day-to-day care of patients, either in homes, hospitals or in patients’ own homes.
Healthcare Assistants are vital members of the team in hospitals, care homes, and clinics.

Previous experience and/or qualifications in care are essential.
As a Healthcare Assistant/support worker, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff along with other Healthcare Assistants.
Your duties may include:
* Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
* Serving food or assisting with eating
* Making and changing beds
* Turning bedridden patients to prevent pressure sores
* Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
* Assisting patients with mobility
* Helping with toileting and collecting bedpans
* Maintaining cleanliness of wards or homes
* Managing supplies and equipment
Your daily tasks may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients between departments. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.
