A leading utilities organisation is seeking an experienced Procurement professional to provide interim maternity cover. This is a key role ensuring strong governance, robust supplier compliance, and effective procurement policy management across the function. Description Governance Operations Prepare and coordinate board and committee papers Develop agendas, capture accurate minutes, and track actions Maintain consistent governance processes and documentation Support effective decision‑making across procurement leadership forums Supplier Compliance Lead supplier due‑diligence and ongoing compliance monitoring Conduct ESG checks and track mandatory supplier requirements Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date supplier data across the lifecycle Strengthen supplier assurance processes across procurement Policy & Change Maintain procurement policies, procedures, Terms of Reference and templates Update controls and documentation in line with best practice Support the function to adopt and embed procedural or policy changes Champion consistency and continuous improvement initiatives Profile A successful Interim Procurement Improvement Manager should have: Strong background in procurement governance, compliance or operations Ability to step into a complex environment and add value immediately Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder‑management skills Experience within regulated or complex organisations (desirable) Job Offer Competitive daily rate of £550, based on experience. 6 month interim contract.
