Old Thorns Hotel & Resort are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Night Manager to join our vibrant, successful Front of House team.
Our Nights Team are enthusiastic and hardworking individuals, who ensure the smooth overnight running of the hotel. By joining our team, you would be welcomed into a warm, friendly and supportive environment.

Our main tasks include:
* Carrying out night audit tasks
* Providing full thorough handovers at the end of each shift
* Undertake regular routine walk-rounds of all areas of the hotel and report irregularities to the Night Manager.
* Set up hotel function rooms in accordance with requirements
* Undertake room service duties when catering department is closed
* Ensuring a float, once on duty, and till is balance, counted and agreed by the oncoming shift (follow up and resolve any discrepancies)
* Assist the Night Manager with the smooth running of the Nights team.
* Completing all work to a high standard

* Previous experience in a similar role
* Strong leadership skills
* Confidence to assist, develop and motivate a small team
* Good customer service skills and attention to detail
* A drive to deliver outstanding service and exceptional customer care
* Work well under pressure and prioritise
* Efficient IT skills (ideally knowledge of Opera or a similar system(s))
* Utilise our systems to their full advantage
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
