The Role
As an Assistant Care Coordinator, you will support our senior care coordination team to ensure our services run smoothly and efficiently.
You will work closely with experienced Care Coordinators, taking on a mix of independent tasks and collaborative responsibilities to maintain the delivery of high-quality care across our service.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in home care who wants to progress into a coordination role while continuing to work hands-on in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support in scheduling and organising care visits, ensuring client needs are met on time.
* Handle day-to-day client, staff, and family queries with professionalism.
* Respond to changes and emergencies, escalating issues to senior staff as required.
* Keep operational and compliance records up to date, including training logs, service records, and care trackers.
* Assist with monitoring care delivery to maintain CQC standards and compliance.
* Carry out spot checks, staff supervisions, and finance audits under guidance from senior coordinators.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with care staff, clients, and external agencies.
* Take part in the on-call rota (2 weekday evenings and 1 weekend per month).
About You
We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised, and passionate about care, with the confidence to take initiative and support others.
Essential Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year of experience in domiciliary/home care.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to remain calm and problem-solve under pressure.
* Good IT skills, including experience using digital systems.
* A genuine commitment to person-centred care and professional standards.
Desirable:
* Experience supervising care staff or supporting operational management.
* Familiarity with compliance monitoring and auditing processes.
* Ambition to progress into a full Care Coordinator role.
